Kate studied 3D design and ceramics at Bath Academy of art and gained a 1st Class BA Hons. Following her studies Kate moved to London and ran a successful ceramics business for over twenty years producing a broad range of products from “One Off” pieces to tableware and bathroom accessories, selling to galleries and major retailers in the UK, USA, Germany and Japan. After relocating to Oxford she decided to concentrate on producing “One offs” alongside teaching, which she continued to do for many years. She has now decided to leave teaching and return to making ceramics full time.
